They’re just that: the decedents. Or “the deceased.” Or “loved ones.” But we usually just refer to them by their names, or “granny” or “gramps” for the ones who remind us of our own grandparents ;). But the families who come in to make the arrangements for the decedents? They are the ones who are our clients, though we usually refer to them as our “families.”
As for clothing and outfits, we get so many crazy ones that I can’t even pick any out specific ones that are the oddest anymore! Ha! We’ve had grannies in negligees, old ladies in crazy prom dresses, just…everything that you could and couldn’t imagine! But my favorites are the korean costumes. I have become quite the expert at doing a korean bow since I started this job!
